Community Book Drive
Even in this digital age, real books that you can hold in your hands never get old. What does get old is storing them, moving them from apartment to apartment, and letting them collect dust on your shelves. Instead, encourage your residents to donate their gently used books to form a community library in the apartment clubhouse.
To up the ante, you could hold a drawing for a prize (discount on rent, free cleaning service, or gift card to a local restaurant) and offer one entry for every book donated.
Once you collect the books, find a place to store them, and create a simple way for residents to check them out.
If there is interest in your community, out of this book collection could evolve a book club or Bible study. Use this as an opportunity to gauge community interest.
