Apartment Life is proud to announce that it has been named a Best Christian Workplace for the eleventh consecutive year by the Best Christian Workplace Institute (BCWI), scoring in the top 5 percent of organizations surveyed.
To earn the distinction, organizations participate in an engagement survey and meet predetermined standards of excellence as set by BCWI. As part of the certification process, BCWI has surveyed more than 135,000 employees in over 575 organizations in the United States, Canada and Australia over the past 11 years, covering topics such as job satisfaction, commitment, management effectiveness, and personal growth.
Apartment Life is a faith-based nonprofit organization that strives to serve people, both in apartment communities and inside its own organization, while living a life that honors Christ. The 14-year-old company’s mission is to transform the lives of apartment residents by fostering environments where residents can build authentic friendships and develop lasting community.
“We emphasize character and competence within the setting of a biblical community to create a family culture where employees feel like they belong,” said Stan Dobbs, CEO and company founder.
This award-winning culture is no accident, but comes straight from the top. Dobbs and the rest of his leadership team model the organization’s core values of excellence, relationships, and celebrations. Employees are encouraged to pursue professional and personal development while enjoying perks like a casual dress code and monthly paid time off for prayer. Apartment Life prioritizes family by offering its employees flexible work schedules and for some positions the ability to telecommute from home.
Apartment Life also likes to have fun. “We celebrate things in a big way, whether it’s a major milestone or a small win,” said Kelly Jones, Chief Operating Officer.
About Apartment Life Apartment Life is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing business value for customers by retaining residents through enhanced community living. CEO Stan Dobbs founded the company in 2000 after seeing a need to help apartment owners build community and meet the human needs of their residents. The CARES program places CARES Teams – a married couple, family or two single adults - onsite to help owners build a community of friends, create a place to belong, and provide a caring touch. CARES Teams are neighbors in the true sense of the word. Today Apartment Life serves hundreds of major apartment owners and property management companies across the country.
