Oh, the weather outside may still be frightful as we kick off the New Year. But we're thinking spring thoughts, and we're at your service to provide inspiration as you plan ahead for your March events. Easter is in March this year, so ideas for March events are endless.  We've gathered up a few ideas that are just the start of what you can celebrate in March!

Parisian Breakfast and Bouquets

Kick off the beginning of spring with a dreamy breakfast spread where residents can enjoy sparkling beverages, pastries, croissants, jam, coffee, fruit, etc.

Consider choosing a color palette featuring black, white, and pastel colors. Elevate your event by creating a DIY flower bar where neighbors can create a bouquet to brighten up their apartment for spring! (Pro tip: Trader Joe's and local grocery stores offer inexpensive flower options.)

Capture the fun with a photo booth where residents can snap a photo with their bouquet in front of a background of the Eiffel Tower or a festive balloon garland.

Oscar Party (March 10)

Roll out the red carpet for the true stars—your neighbors. Invite residents to an Oscars watch party and invite them to dress in their red carpet best!

Deck out your clubroom with gold and black decor and accents. Food options can include fancy appetizers, gourmet popcorn, movie theater candy, and an Italian soda bar complete with garnishes. Provide ballots for everyone to guess who will win the awards, and of course, include your own awards at the end of the night for Best Dressed, Most Correct Guesses, and a Celebrity Look-alike award for the resident who most resembles someone famous.

Unconventional Easter Egg Hunts

Easter is on March 31, 2024. Consider hosting an egg hunt... but with a twist!

Glow-in-the-Dark Egg Hunt: Start an egg hunt at night when the sun is down! Hand out glow necklaces, glasses, bracelets, etc., for residents to wear for nighttime fun. Have residents search for eggs with retro 80s or 90s music. Consider hosting a kid hunt at dusk with eggs stuffed with candies and toys, and when the sun goes down, your adult residents can have their own hunt with eggs filled with candy, coupons to local businesses, and gift cards. End the night with a fun 80s or 90s movie and popcorn bar.

Community Scavenger/Egg Hunt: This event can last one day or over the span of a week. For a one-day event, designate a meet-up area and give your residents clues on where they can find the eggs, with each egg leading to a new clue.

Have your grand prize egg in an obscure location, and the first resident to find it wins. End the fun with a candy buffet with gift boxes for residents to take their candy home. For a week-long event, utilize your community's social media and give clues about where residents can find eggs filled with a gift card.
St. Patrick's Day (March 17)

Nothing screams March like St. Patrick's Day. Host an Irish-themed dinner of corn beef sliders, cheesy potatoes, beer cheese dip, and Irish soda bread. Or offer a cooking class for residents to try their hand at creating their own authentic Irish fare.

Pro tip: think outside the box with decor. Instead of shamrocks and leprechauns, consider the use of greenery, gold and black accents with silverware or plates, and white tulip centerpieces (the white and green of the flower go great together). Not only will the aesthetic feel fresh, but you'll be able to use the same elements for other events.
