Resident Services Celebration Stories

Written by Apartment Life | Aug 14, 2024 3:06:05 PM

Apartment Life has a big goal to serve any type of apartment community so that all residents can experience and join in the calling to be a good neighbor. Our Resident Services program, which serves affordable and low-income communities, is one extension of this goal. This program is customized to meet the needs of each unique community we serve, providing wraparound services that meet the practical, physical, and emotional needs of residents in these communities.

The results have been incredible. Today, we're sharing just a glimpse of some of the amazing stories that have come from the intentionality and care of our resident services coordinators.

Prosper Fairways in Columbia, South Carolina

Coordinator Karrie Sisk developed a partnership with a local university and community nonprofit to coordinate a free week of basketball camp for resident kids at Prosper Fairways. Kids received rides to and from camp every day, along with breakfast, lunch, a drawstring backpack, and a basketball for every camper! What an incredible example of utilizing community partnerships to provide one-of-a-kind opportunities for residents.

Berkeley Pointe in Ocala, Florida

At the "Stop the Violence" event at Berkeley Pointe, coordinator Marissa Gary leveraged six community partnerships to reach more than 100 residents with local resources. The police department showed up to interact with kids and their families, and a local barbershop provided free haircuts to residents. The event was such a hit, it was even recognized by the Mayor of Ocala for providing excellence in community building and helping make the apartment complex a safer place to live.

 The Luxe in Sacramento, California

Neighbors at The Luxe celebrated summer and were empowered to make healthy choices with outdoor yoga and a variety of healthy smoothies. Coordinator Janae Mallott designed the experience to bring residents together to move and nourish their bodies and get them thinking about how to show up as the best version of themselves. Healthy residents are the foundation of healthy communities!

Sage at Panorama in Denver, Colorado

Coordinator Kevin Kelly hosted a family supply clinic in partnership with local organizations to provide more than 75 residents with free items like diapers, wipes, clothing, hygiene essentials, cleaning essentials, and more. Residents were blown away by the experience, with a few even moved to tears. More than providing for physical needs, this event focused on providing encouragement and hope for hardworking families to keep moving forward.
