In our effort to serve any apartment community, Apartment Life has expanded to serve senior adult communities. We're able to promote the "whole wellness" of senior adult residents, including their physical, mental, occupational, social, and spiritual well-being.
It's our joy to provide events and activities that help senior residents feel connected to their neighbors and cared for within their community while having plenty of fun along the way. Isn't that what we all want?
How it Works
Our senior adult services were designed to include:
- Part-time or full-time Apartment Life Coordinator(s) with options to live onsite/work onsite or live offsite/work onsite
- A robust calendar of rotating weekly and featured events
- Wellness visits
- Resident and staff care
- Onsite office hours
Through our events and regular activities, we're able to partner with community organizations to bring helpful resources directly to residents.
Community that Cares
Recently, one of our coordinators partnered with a community organization to provide free onsite haircuts for residents. In a single day, they were able to provide haircuts to 18 residents within the comfort of their homes.
An Apartment Life Coordinator at another community hosts a weekly cornhole tournament for residents. One neighbor who suffers from Parkinson's shared that he didn't think there would be a community activity he could participate in, but cornhole has become a weekly highlight.
Other times, our coordinators have helped connect residents to healthcare services or community resources to help with everything from bill assistance to food stamps to creating a will. One resident wanted to begin hosting a monthly dinner club with her neighbors, so she asked her Apartment Life Coordinator to help her make a plan and get the idea off the ground.
Home is Where Your Community Is
Home is about more than where you live – it's about having a community of people to do life with. With the same engaging events that Apartment Life communities have become known for (from Kentucky Derby Parties to Karaoke Nights), our senior adult services program provides an additional layer of care and resources that bring the life of the party to our senior adult friends across the country. Retirement has never looked better!
