At Mera Henderson, a senior adult services program in Las Vegas, Nevada, a visually impaired resident wanted to attend an activity in the media room but wasn’t sure how to get there. Daenne, her Apartment Life Coordinator, walked alongside her, practicing the route until she felt confident. This month, she made the walk on her own! It's a simple and beautiful example of how ongoing support and encouragement within a community can make a difference on a resident's quality of life. 

Building Connections at The Atherton
Recently, an Apartment Life Coordinator at The Atherton in Charlotte, North Carolina, invited several of her neighbors over to her home for a casual girl's night. One of those who came was a new resident who had the chance to make friends with her neighbors and feel welcomed into the community. A thoughtful invitation became the doorway to friendship and a sense of belonging.

At Adagio Apartments in Bellevue, Washington, our coordinators recently surprised several of their neighbors with bouquets of flowers. One was given to celebrate a pregnancy, another to congratulate a neighbor on their promotion, and yet another simply to say thanks for being a part of the community. Gestures like these cultivate a culture where neighbors notice, celebrate, and support one another. Residents feel valued not just as tenants, but as part of a thriving community.

From community dinners and game nights to themed celebrations and wellness activities, fun and memorable events provide opportunities for neighbors to connect, share experiences, and build relationships.
